Method to Prepare

Step 1: Preparing the jaggery syrup
  • Take a pan and add little water to it. Also, add jaggery to it. Keep the flame low.
  • Once the jaggery has almost melted down, let it cool down for some time.
  • Remember not to boil it until it reaches single thread consistency.
Step 2: Preparing the mixture
Now, take a bowl and add the following
  • 1/2 glass milk
  • Dry fruits
  • Ghee
  • Jaggery from step 1
  • Salt as per taste
  • Cardamom powder
Step 3: Adding the main ingredient
  • Now gently add the wheat flour little by little and start whisking it.
  • Make sure there are no lumps.
  • Add milk if required and make sure the batter is not too thick.
Step 4: Fry the malpuris
  • Heat the oil on medium flame.
  • Take a small ladle full of batter and slowly drop it in the pan. Since the batter won't be too thick, it will automatically spread itself and will attain a circular shape.
  • Now fry the malpuri on both sides.
  • While removing the malpuri from the pan remove the excess oil by squeezing it.
