The Simplest Ways to Make the Best of Akki (Rice) Roti Recipe

How can Akki Roti be Served?

Akki Roti can be served for breakfast with chutney as well as for lunch with spicy curry such as chicken curry, mutton curry, veg curry, egg roast.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup of rice flour
  • 2 spoon oil
  • Salt to taste

Method To Prepare

  • First, take 2 cups of the water, boil it
  • When it starts to get warm then add salt as per your requirement and 2 spoons of oil
  • Now close the lid and let it boil
  • After it boils keep the flame low and add flour now
  • Keep stirring continuously till it becomes thick
  • Once the water gets mixed well, turn the burner off
  • Close the lid and let the mixture cool down for about 10-15 minutes
  • Now take water in a small cup and add a little bit of it to the mixture
  • Knead the flour, make it soft by adding a little bit of water as required.
  • Now take a medium sized (lemon size) ball and make it round in shape. Don't apply too much pressure and add rice flour while rolling it. 
  • Now take a pan and let it become hot for about 5 minutes keeping the flame low. After that fry the roti. 
  • Keep a small bowl of water and take a cloth. Dip the cloth lightly in water and press the borders of the roti. 
  • After the roti is baked you can apply ghee/oil to it and enjoy it with your curry

Some useful tips:
> Clean the pan after every roti with a cloth
